William G.(Bill) Clark

    Bill was born in Trail, BC to Isabel and W.G. (Bill) Clark. Coming from a long line of funeral directors, Bill is a fourth-generation funeral director serving the community of Trail. In 1898, Bill’s great grandfather William G. Clark Sr., a cabinet maker, established Clark and Binn Undertakers in Trail, and today Bill Jr. is the managing partner of Clark’s Funeral Services, in Trail.


    Bill has two sons; Adam and his wife Natasha and grandchildren Beckett, Maddison, and Elizabeth; and Nathan and his wife Brittany, all of Trail.  Bill enjoys the outdoors which includes hunting, motorcycling, golf, snowshoeing and skiing as well as curling competitively. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends at Christina Lake during the summer months. 


    Bill has served as President of the Trail Rotary Club, Chair of the Greater Trail Retirement Housing Society, Chair of the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital and Health Foundation and President of Christina Sands Estates Society as well as serving on numerous other community boards and clubs. He is currently, a Director of the British Columbia Funeral Service Association and Membership Chair of Cremation Association of North America.

Alexander (Al) Grywacheski

    Al Grywacheski was born and raised in Canora, Saskatchewan. He apprenticed with Oneschuk Funeral home in Canora, Saskatchewan, obtaining his embalming and funeral director’s license, in 1993. Al, with his wife Cindy and their two children, moved to Trail in 1994. For 28 years Al contributed daily to our team of Funeral Directors and in the fall of 2022 retired.  You may still see him helping around the funeral home occasionally.

Andreas Schmitz

    Andreas was born in Switzerland and immigrated to Ontario in 1988 and grew up on his parents’ fruit and rose farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario. Andreas earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at Wilfred Laurier University where he majored in Contemporary Studies with minors in Philosophy and Anthropology.


    Andreas visited British Columbia in 2011 to snowboard in the mountains and hasn’t left since. He traveled all around BC and has lived and worked in Golden, Campbell River, Squamish and Vancouver.


    Andreas worked as a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director in Vancouver and graduated as a fully Licenced Funeral Director from the Canadian Collage of Funeral Services in 2019.  


    He now lives in Rossland with his two cats Rufus and Quincy. He enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, archery, playing banjo and chess. 

Alexandra Butts

    Alexandra Butts was born in Kitchener, Ontario and relocated as a child to Vancouver, BC. She graduated from the Canadian College of Funeral Service in 2017.



    Over the last 7 years, Ali has been honoured to serve many families throughout the West Kootenays. When she isn’t working you can find her spending time with her husband and daughter, hiking with her dogs, or curled up with coffee and a good book.

Tracy Wicentowich

    Tracy Wicentowich was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, and grew up & graduated High School in Cloverdale, BC. Shortly after graduation, Tracy moved to Nakusp where she spent 9 years; then moved to Vernon where her two children were born. Craving the small-town life, Tracy moved back to the Kootenays in 2008 and currently resides in Trail.


    After choosing to stay at home and raising her children, she returned to school at the College of New Caledonia and graduated with an Applied Business Technology Certificate.


    Tracy enjoys gardening, cooking and making improvements on her house and yard. Spending time with her children is the most important thing in Tracy’s life.


    Building trust, confidence and good relationships with the families that our Clark team serves is especially important to Tracy. She helps with obituaries, designs memorial cards and manages the day-to-day operation of the office.



    Tracy has been a valuable member of the Clark’s Funeral Services team since April 2011.
